for Sunday, December 12, 1999
by The Editors

Sunday, December 12, 1999 -- NEW YORK (APJNS) -- All the GOP candidates except for BushBaby were making the pundit rounds this weekend.  Also on the agenda -- spying by the Russians and the Elian Gonzalez tug-of-war.

Here's what was said...

Evans, Novak, Hunt & Shields

Is Bob Novak Dracula?
This weekend, cheerful Grinch Robert Novak dug up loser Senator Robert Bennett -- who pretends to be wise -- ostensibly as the GOP "expert" on the Y2K problem.  More...

Fox News Spin-Day

McCain rocks
Tony Snow opened with "John McCain -- he's tan, rested, ready, and ours this morning!"

Tony's first question to McCain was about Bill Bradley and his irregular heartbeat!  McCain called for all candidates to release their medical records -- a comment calculated to raise questions about Bush.  More...

This Weak

Spam and Cocky's Parade of GOP Losers-to-be
Spam and Cocky had not one but two GOP presidential candidates -- Alan Keyes and Gary Bauer.

Also present -- Sandy Berger, to expose both "hosts" as fools.

And. of course, the "roundtabe" segment once again proved that neoconservative guru Bill Kristol is the only This Weak regular with a mind.  More...

The McLaugh-In Group

Crazy John Goes on China-Bashing Tirade
Issue One: John has gone looney over the Panama Canal!

His panel of right-wing goofballs -- and Eleanor Clift -- had us wondering when the "men in white" would be arriving.

Prediction: you won't want to miss our play-by-play of the loudest pundit show on
the idiot box! More...

Face the Nation
Albright on spies and kids, Ickes counterspins
Guest one: Madeleine Albright.  Bob Schieffer asked Albright about the warning to Americans traveling abroad of possible terrorist actions against U.S. citizens.  Schieffer: "This one seems a bit more ominous."

Guest two: Harold Ickes, counterspinning the Rudy hate machine.  More....

Beat the Prez
Starring Tim Russert, as he continues the destruction of what was a fine program
Tim Russert began the hour with a typical right-wing issue -- SPYING AND TERRORISM. He brought two goofuses on to talk about the latest Russian spy caught bugging the State Department.

Let us sum it up for you: there are always spies. There have always been spies.  There will always be spies.  Spies from Russia, China, England, Israel, Spain, Liechtenstein, and any country that can afford to pay them.

Tim: learn this, and grow up.  More....
