Henry Hyde and Cherie Snodgrass cuddling in a sleazy nightclub stare you in the face just as his hypocrisy stuns you. She had three children and a loving husband. She was young and reckless. He was a tough married predator bent on adding her to his harem.

This is the same Henry Hyde you heard preaching about morals and the Constitution. Hyde broke up her marriage, installed her in an apartment and used her sexually -- while her husband and children fell apart. Hyde hid his years-long affair from his loving wife -- until one day when Cherie's husband, bent on confronting Hyde for destroying his life, went to his home. Mrs. Hyde was there. Henry was not.

One thing is certain: if Henry Hyde had told the truth to his constituents, he would never have been elected to Congress. But he lied to the American people and he gained office through his lies.

Hyde is an electoral perjuror.

This is Henry Hyde's America. All these years, from 1965 until he was caught recently, Henry Hyde lied to his constituents and lied to the American people. Each time he took the oath of office he lied, for he had misled the voters in his district never telling him about the family he had destroyed.

She wasn't the first, and she wasn't the last.

And this man, Henry Hyde, is the "most respected" member of the Republican Party? Now you know a lesson in throwing stones and a lesson in hypocrisy.
