Pundit Pap
for Sunday, October 1, 2000
by the Editors

Sunday, October 1, 2000 -- NEW YORK/WASHINGTON (AmpolNS) -- The pundits paved the way for the Tuesday debate showdown, doing their best to conceal Bush's many flaws while continuing to push the "party line: that Gore is a liar.

It was all quite amusing -- considering that some of the nastiest commentary was coming from the two networks that won't show the debate, FOX and NBC (in the case of the latter network, stations will have the option of carrying the debate -- it will be very telling to learn how many of the network-owned affiliates do so).

Here's this week's pundit prevarications in brief:

Fox Schmooze Sunday
Tony unleashes attack moles on Bill Daley, who bites back

Tony started the program by saying that voters are not excited by Bush or Gore -- without taking any of the blame himself as a member of the press, of course.

Before the guests, however, there was an interesting comment from the FOX headlines talking head-ette: the FBI is looking into the Molegate affair and the possibility that the Bush debate tape was leaked to a Gore campaign official at the behest of a member of the Bush campaign.

The first guest: Bill Daley, chair of the Gore campaign.  Tony, looking for more headlines, asked Daley if the FBI had questioned anyone in the Gore camp (Daley said no) and said the campaign only knew what they'd read in the papers.  Tony asked Daley if he could assure him that nobody in the Gore camp knows what was on the tape or in the briefing book -- Daley said yes, but should have made a comment or two about Bush campaign boss Karl Rove's history of dirty tricks.

Brit Hume was aghast that the junior Gore aide, Matt Doyne, who jokingly said that there was a "mole" in the Bush campaign, was not fired -- and asked Daley if he could be made generally available to the press (no doubt so Drudge can twist his story).  Daley said that he has been available to the press -- and was still suspended.  Hume sounded silly as he pressed Daley about "secret campaign documents," and Daley looked amused that the FOX boys were pursuing their silly line of questioning.

Tony asked if Lieberman has Gore's blessing in wanting a meeting with Louis Farrakhan -- and that Lieberman has said he acts at the behest of "the Vice President," trying to link the two in a demeaning way.  Daley said that Lieberman was reaching out -- and Tony, catch this, said that "if the KKK had a good environmental program, the Gore campaign would reach out to them!"  Good cheap shot, Tony.  Daley shook his head and said that their campaign would of course not deal with the KKK.

Besides, Tony, the Klan is too solidly Republican anyway.

Tony pressed Daley about the environment, which only gave Daley an opportunity to say that a strong environment and strong economy can go hand-in-hand.

Tony turned to the debates, and acknowledged Gore's strength -- but asked if, to get the woman's vote, we're going to see the charming Gore.   Tony must have missed Al on Oprah.  Daley did not say no, but did say that issues would be chewed over.  Brit and Tony said that Gore was always welcome.

We think Daley should have pointed out that FOX is loathe to broadcast the debates.  But Daley was being exceptionally nice -- we think because Tony and Brit are obsessed with the "mole" story that looks to be hurting the Bush camp pretty badly.

After the break -- the FOX electoral count.  We don't know where they get their figures (Gore is 10 short of "clinching" according to the non-rocket-scientists Roger Ailes has cooking their poll numbers), but other private polls show Gore kicking Bush like a sick possum.

The next guest: Republican Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge, about the only GOPer in his state left unindicted in recent months.  Tony asked Ridge if Bush should come out swinging like a conservative (bad choice of word, "swinging," especially given Bush's horndog tendencies).  Tony even asked Ridge about Bush's mangling of the English language -- and Ridge said better a "malaprop man" like Bush than a "man who makes up stories" like Gore.  Sen. Bob Graham (D-FL)  did not respond to Ridge's trumped-up liar accusation, instead resorting to the "litany of issues" response.  Graham is pretty weak on these shows -- and we wonder if anyone at the DNC is paying attention.  Juan Williams followed up with a snide question about Gore's dog anecdote and his obvious joking "Union Label" lullaby story, and Graham gave an equally poor defense.  Good grief, with friends like these...

But Graham did attack Bush's prescription drug plan, which requires the cooperation of state legislatures -- which, as anyone with fundamental knowledge of poli-sci will tell you, drag their feet even more than the Federal legislative bodies.  Tony: "So you're saying that Washington is more efficient."  Graham essentially said no kidding -- and turning over popular programs like Medicare to the states would be a disaster.  Ridge praised "the 23 states" that were acting as "an exemplar to the other 27 states" on some other program -- essentially saying that Graham is right!  Ridge bragged about how his state did a great job on some program -- that is, when their legislature wasn't being hobbled by the indictment of crooked Republicans.

Advice for Gore from Graham: he has to correct misconceptions about his drug program and show his warmth (i.e., keep appealing to women).  Ridge said Bush should speak from the heart (i.e. mangle the language) and that Gore's best lines would be written by Hollywood (a funny cheap shot from Ridge -- who's doing HIS writing on that painfully conspicuous spin point??).

Could Democrats take back the Senate?  Bob Torricelli (D-NJ) was asked how important the Tuesday debate would be to the Senate race, and Torricelli said that Gore will have to make policy and issue distinctions clear.  Tony asked McConnell about a poll that says that Dems are stronger on moral issues, and McConnell said wrongly that the debate would not have a strong effect on the Senate races, citing the questionable "bounce" that Michigan Sen. Spence Abraham got on prescription drugs. Torricelli mocked the GOP HMO bill that protects only about one-sixth of those protected by the Dem plan.

What is Bush's strongest issue?  McConnell, sounding ridiculous, said that the GOP had turned the corner on the prescription drug issue, again citing Abraham.  Will the President cut cap gains taxes?  Torricelli said targeted tax cuts for the needy and those who want to go to college were a higher priority -- it is critical for Dems to maintain the surplus and economic growth.  Nobody believes in Bush's unwieldy tax cut, he added.  McConnell said that Torricelli agreed with the "GOP" marriage penalty bill -- but essentially admitted that the GOP has adopted Democrat positions.

Torricelli then said that Lieberman should step aside in the Connecticut Senate race -- then praised the superb job he has done as senator from Connecticut.  He sounded confident that Gore will win.  So who could run in Connecticut?  Torricelli mentioned the Connecticut Attorney General and Rep. Rosa deLauro.  Torricelli, by the way, is right -- and we think Lieberman will step aside in a matter of days.

McConnell slammed Hillary Clinton's credibility over the soft-money non-agreement -- ignoring the fact that Lazio backed off because Mrs. Clinton wanted loopholes in the Lazio plan closed.  Torricelli chimed in that a win in Nevada or Virginia will give the Democrats 50 seats in the Senate -- and said that there are tight races.  McConnell made a laughable comment about senate candidates with just "a heartbeat and a checkbook," a swipe at Democrat Jon Corzine -- but that's the very same line Democrats used to use against GOPers!  Is McConnell morphing into a Democrat?  Torricelli then made fun of Tony's comment that Hillary will never hit 50% in the polls or win over upstate -- and she's done it all!  Tony laughed graciously and thanked both guests.  We bet it's a while 'til "The Torch" is invited back.

Panel time! Mara Liasson is back, having given birth to a baby daughter (congrats, Mara!).  Brit said that if Bush gets through the debates without drooling, he will be considered the winner (wrong).  Mara said that the debates are not about eviscerating your opponent so much as being likable -- the issues don't matter that much, and quipmanship will count.  Juan said Gore goes in with an enormous advantage.  Brit said that Bush would win on what to do with the surplus -- give it back to the voters (wrong again, because most Americans would get back next to nothing).  Juan gave the best assessment -- if Bush gets painted into a corner and begins to sound unpresidential, he's essentially dead meat.  Tony tried to claim that Gore's targeted tax cuts affect too few people.

Talk turned to RU486.  Mara said that the pill does not have a huge political impact (huh? what planet's she been on?), but the abortion issue still does, and as a broad issue it's bad for Bush -- not to mention that Gore has come out for more adoption.  Brit acknowledged that most people support choice but loathe late-term abortions.

But RU486 is only for the first 7 weeks of pregnancy, Brit!

Talk turned to Molegate.  Juan seemed upset that the FBI had not investigated the Gore people, and he (with Mara) made a whole lot about Bush media advisor Mark McKinnon having once worked for Democrat clients.  Brit, who has no law enforcement experience, said the FBI had "screwed up."  Mara asked the money question -- why did Tom Downey turn the package of Bush materials over to the FBI immediately?  Remember, readers, this is the big hole in claims by the Bush-ettes that eam Gore is somehow involved in a conspiracy to "penetrate" the Bush campaign -- a ridiculous assertion, and don't forget, not even the RNC has been able to infiltrate the Bush campaign!  Brit called the theory of a set-up attempt by Team Bush "convoluted" -- which is a lie, because Brit of all people should be well aware of Karl Rove's history of dirty tricks.

Farrakhan-Lieberman!  Brit said Farrakhan is radioactive!  Hilarious -- given that Farrakhan has appeared on Fox News Sunday!  Hope you were wearing your lead underwear, Brit.  Mara called it risky, and Juan said that it hurts Jewish voters -- but black voters might find it interesting.

Tony's final word was on the third-party presidential candidates such as Howard Phillips (of the Loony Neofascist Party) and Harry Browne (of the Abolish the IRS Party) that have NOT been invited to FNS.  Tony said that they are just not "big" enough to merit invitation -- which is too bad.  We'd love to see Tony, who can fit more issues into seven minutes than most pundits can cram into an hour, interview libertarian Browne or reformer Hagelin instead of that Nazi bigot Buchanan or fake supporter of the "little guy" Nader.

The McLaugh-In Group
Pope John in exile -- week III

Once again, we were spared the rantings of Pope John and his nattering nebbishes.  Last week, the panel was asked who would "win" the week?

Michael Barone: Bush
Eleanor Clift: Gore
Tony Blankley Bush
Clarence Page: Nader
John McLaughlin: Bush

The week went to Gore, making Eleanor the only winner -- and the rest loopy losers.

This week's silly predictions dealt with the Tuesday debate's winner:
Michael: "If anybody has momentum going into the debate it is Bush, but it is not very big. "Eleanor: "Bush goes into the debate with the lowest expectations of any candidate since maybe Dan Quayle. He can't lose, it is going to be at least a draw. "
Tony: "Gore is the expected winner of the debate."
Lawrence O'Donnell: "Gore has a little bit of momentum and he will win the debate."
John: "I should be Pope!  I should be Pope!"

Deface the Nation
Schieffer gives air time to the religious Reich

Pat Robertson, big businessman disguised as a country preacher, made headlines this morning on MTP by saying that he does not believe that Bush will win.

In response to a series of questions by Bob Schieffer and Gloria Borger, Robertson, said that Bush was not fighting hard enough -- and that he would have fired the idiots responsible for what even he refers to as the "RATS" ad.  Robertson trashed the Bush campaign mercilessly!

Schieffer asked Robertson about the timing of the RU-486 approval.  Robertson called it a masterful move by Bill Clinton (!) to trap Bush in the briar patch!  Robertson called the near-decade of scrutiny of RU-486 a "rush to judgment."

Tad Devine, a Gore aide, was the next guest -- and said that he hopes Bush does not take Robertson's advice, calling it the "low road."  He also slammed Robertson's view on RU486, calling it a scientific decision.  Schieffer asked Devine about Gore making "preposterous claims," citing the arthritic dog story; Devine slammed a press environment in which comments are taken out of context, but did acknowledge that Bush has latched onto it as an issue.  Schieffer tried to cast Gore as a liar, saying people "checked facts." Devine did not fire back, instead going through the Gore issue checklist.  Borger asked what worries Devine about Bush in the debates -- and Devine said that he fears that Bush will go negative.

Ha, ha, ha!  That's true rope-a-dope.  Look at what happened when Lazio went negative in his debate with Mrs. Clinton -- who has now broken 50% in New York polls.

Schieffer brought up Molegate -- and Devine recounted Tom Downey's turning over the tape to the FBI.  Borger asked if any Gore people had been questioned by the FBI -- and Devine said he believed that Downey had been.  Downey SHOULD have pointed out that an awful lot of press idiots seem to want the FBI to question the Gore team so that they can imply some kind of wrongdoing -- when in fact the Gore team was immediately cooperative and Downey took the ethical move of stepping down as Gore's debate advisor.

After the break -- Sens. Orrin Hatch (R-UT) vs. Joe Biden (D-DE).   Schieffer also welcomed Stuart "The Skunk" Taylor, that pseudojournalist-pundit who acted as a stealth spokesman for Ken Starr.  He reviewed the possibility of changes in the Supreme Court, and was on mike for a blessedly short time.  Orrin Hatch called it the top issue in the presidential campaign -- and cited the Boy Scouts ruling as of paramount importance to liberty.

Hoo-boy -- it was going to be one of those Hatch appearances.  Biden cited more important issues before the court -- age discrimination, state sovereignty, and federal standards.  Borger asked if there wasn't a "tug of war" between the Supreme Court and the federal legislature, and Taylor agreed with Biden, that it is there -- but then talked about how the court is to the "left" of public opinion.  What a joke -- they're moderate, but God forbid what Bush would do to it, perhaps stuff it with more extremists who refuse to be publicly accountable, like the press-fearing Clarence "Slappy" Thomas of "Fat Tony" Scalia.

Hatch said that if you want a "mainstream" court, vote for Bush -- and that Gore supports some sort of left-wing "extremists."  Ha, ha, ha, ha -- if you consider fascists like Scalia mainstream, than maybe Orrin's right.  Biden cited that Clean Air Act, and the possibility that a right-wing court would find a way to kill it.

Schieffer's final word was on Gore supposedly being a liar and Bush's team fretting about a "mole."  Schieffer said "spare us."

We wish Schieffer would spare us of declaring Gore a liar without checking the facts and the GOP spinmeister "fact-checkers!"

Is Bob Schieffer, usually the most courtly of pundits, veering to the right?

Defeat the Press
Russert must go -- and Lazio with him...

Rick Lazio, Long Island congress-boy and all-around nothing, was Tim Russert's first guest this morning. At the start, it seemed as Russert might use Lazio as yet another means to destroy Hillary Clinton -- part of his self-serving, non-stop defamation of the Clinton family for the past few years.

But perhaps Russert got the word about our reader’s thousands of letters, faxes and e-mails to NBC News director Andrew Lack asking the network to dismiss Russert because he is a lying, posturing instrument of the Republican Party.

First, Lazio -- always a liar -- pretended this morning that he was pro-choice, and was in favor of the approval of the RU-486, the newly-approved drug which allows women to perform safe abortions at home during the first few weeks of an unwanted pregnancy. Of course, Lazio placated his right-wing Gingrich-allied buddies by saying he would not support federal funding for poor women who could not afford the pricey pill.

Lazio has "nothing to say" to Louis Farrakhan. Big deal -- he's old, sick and attempting to redeem himself and his evil reputation before he has to stand before Allah and account for his hatemongering, bigotry and abuse of religion. Ol' Louie kinda sounds like a Republican, come to think of it.

Russert pointed out that Gore is beating Bush by some 25 percentage points in New York and that Lazio is down by 10 points (here's the truth: it is really 14 points) -- Lazio denied this and told stupid stories about how he was "down 20 points" when he was running for the House and yet he won. Of course, he failed to mention that his pollster was a moron.

Russert then reminded us that he invited Mrs. Clinton to be on today, but she declined. Well, we're shocked, Timmy, simply shocked! Of course she declined your invitation, you little brownshirt! You’ve built your entire lackluster career at NBC on a foundation of destroying her daughter and her family.

A Bush commercial -- about educational responsibility (for white kids, of course, if you check his record) -- preceded the corpulent Tim's next two guests. MSNBC pundit Paul Begala and Republican Governor Paul Celucci of Massachusetts (who is lining his pockets with "tunnel money") defended their presidential candidates. Topic one: Tuesday when the first debate will take place. The pap was boring at the start, with Begala and Celucci merely going through rote repetition of platform stuff.

But then Russert asked Celucci if Bush has the "capacity" to be the President. Ha, ha, ha, double ha! -- maybe your letters really did whip the little schmuck in line. Naturally, Celucci said yes -- but face it, what else could he say?

Begala answered Russert’s repeat of the charge that Gore stretches the truth. Begala -- not as stupid as Celucci -- just ignored Russert’s question and focused on why The Shrub is a creep, describing Bush as a man who pushed a law allowing Texans to carry loaded guns in church (and everywhere else as well). Celucci, obviously not the sharpest knife in the GOP drawer, came across as the kind of imbecile who just might give Bush a run for his money in the "not all there" department as he laughed at Begala because he is playing Bush in mock debates with Gore, then said that he looks inches shorter now. Great comment, Governor -- you said that Bush is a mental midget!

By the way, Celucci himself is just a bit over five feet short!

Celucci blamed Clinton and Gore (as if Gore were running the nation now) for the oil shortage, and said that Bush, by "exploring for oil" will solve the crisis. Ha, ha, ha, ha! When? In ten years -- spent destroying our national parklands?

Ralph Nader and Pat Buchanan -- two of the most unlikely allies to appear on Eat the Press, whined about not being in the debates. Oh, please!

Nader just lied. Buchanan claimed that Americans are being cheated because they are paying for him to run and they can’t hear him. We were practically rolling on the floor! That was a good one -- but Americans are really paying Buchanan’s sister Bay a hefty salary to run his phony baloney "scampaign." But we hope she does a good job with the money -- so that Pat will steal some of the Neo-Nazi vote from Bush.

Nader started verbally roughing up Gore. He said Gore "just can’t do it right," and that he is "constantly wavering...you can’t trust him." What a liar. What a loser. Nader -- a multimillionaire who made money selling radon detectors while fighting the radon detection industry -- is a creep beyond all creeps, and one of the slickest hypocrites in politics. Just forget him. He is a man in deep decline who has never accomplished a thing in his life -- excepting getting Corvairs off the roads.

Buchanan just ranted, attacking the Republican Party just as Nader attacked the Democratic Party. Ho hum, Pat -- been there, done that. Pukeanan quoted Ronald "Where's the rest of me?" Reagan when he lied and said that that he had not left the Democratic Party, the Democrats left him. Reagan said this because only his GOP friends would fund him for Governor.

Nader said he thinks a vote for Gore is a vote for Bush. He said he also thinks that Lieberman is "whispering" to big business that Gore will not do anything to them. Well, Ralphie, what will you do? Create a communist society? Nader is such an walking sphincter that we would almost rather see Buchanan as president.

Nader kept chanting votenader.com. What a laugh -- what a loser, and a consistent one.

Look what Nader has accomplished over his long life, living off the public dole. Nothing. If everything he said about business is true, then he therein admits that he is totally ineffectual and has done nothing to clean up the environment, make us safer, and take on the drug companies.

Russert -- a consumed Catholic -- again brought up the RU-486 pill. Buchanan -- another Catholic headed to Hell for sure -- obviously hates the pill, and claimed that this is "a sign" that our entire civilization is gone.

Nader said he wants to cut the defense budget in half and bring back the troops in Europe. What a moron; without them there, Europe could turn on us. Of course, Nader is too dumb to realize that the EU is now forming its own huge armed force -- and that it is possible that the EU could -- at some future time -- become our mortal enemy.

Keep in mind that America’s fifty years of continuous and nearly monolithic prosperity has made her hated by many -- including some British, French and German factions.

Russert moved on to the topic of taxes and spending. He put up his own idea. We thought it was hilarious -- should tax cuts only occur IF there is a surplus? What an idiot. Does he think that Bush would allow his stupid tax cuts to take place if the Treasury was bare? No, he -- like his criminal "no new taxes" forefather -- would raise taxes to balance the budget.

Buchanan pointed out that the GOP has been spending all the surplus. He thinks the entire 2 trillion should be given back to the people and then the government should go back the people and ask for it for new programs.

Russert still pushed his own stupid idea. Is Russert now trying to be a policy maker? God save the republic!

Russert then turned to Al Gore’s appearance on MTV and shows a clip -- about gay couples. Gore sighed and said that he favors legal protections for civic unions, really not saying that he supported gay couples but endorsing civic unions for gay people.

Nader said equal rights for equal responsibility. Buchanan said this country is on the road to hell in a hand basket -- then launched into a tirade against immigrants. He wants immigrants "assimilated." The last major world leader that talked about assimilation was none other than Buchanan’s hero -- Adolf Hitler.

Nader went on and on about the US being a hog for foreign brains. Oh, geez.

Russert keeps repeating the annoying phrase "let me turn to..." (as if he were a professor). Nader went on a tirade about gas guzzling. Pukeanan thinks we should drill. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. He also defended Microsoft and thinks we should "break up" the OPEC cartel. Our media room broke into a chorus of laughs and catcalls. In other words, Buchanan was saying let's go to war with them. Actually, our Washington writers agree in one way: we think we should attack these OPEC fools and take their damn oil allowing them to return to their traditional tents and camels (just kidding... maybe...).

That was it for Beat the Depressed. But we can't end without reminding you that Pukeanan only ran so he could get his filthy, bigoted talons on$15 million of your money that is now financing his Neo-Nazi campaign. Check his campaign expenditures and trace them. We think that you will find that most of that $15 million is landing in his and his family’s bank accounts.

This Weak
Cap Cities' Blabbermouth Puppet Show spins Molegate, thinking the viewership fools

Jackie "Jerkie" Judd was the first guest on This Weak -- to feed "Scam" Donaldson’s love for the stolen Bush debate tapes that were sent to Rep. Tom Downey. The FBI is investigating this -- but for what we don’t know. Since when is sending a tape of the BushBaby to someone a crime? There was no break-in. No federal statute has obviously been violated -- so what the heck is going on?

We'll tell you: a Bush "plant" -- and a story trumped up by Bush's top campaign lunatics, of course.

Scam brought on others to say that this is really messing up the Bush campaign. Certainly the Shrub would not handling this foolish matter himself. He leaves such projects to the top echelon of his team of Neo-Nazis -- Karl "Goebbels" Rove and his sidekick Karen "Eva Braun" Hughes, who is the meanest looking prison camp warden to ever hit Austin, Texas.

Here's a hint: why did it take so long for Bush campaign high commander Karl Rove more than a week to sit down with the FBI to answer a few routine questions?

Some background reporting followed. Laura Bush is still "on the scent," following the Shrub everywhere -- even to the men’s room at events to make certain he is hound-dogging some chick.

Oh, no! Top GOP loser -- in all ways -- Alan Keyes is on alongside another loser, former (thank God) Senator Bill Bradley, who has a basketball for a brain. Bradley quoted Woody Allen.

"Cocky" Roberts showed Gore repeatedly saying to Bradley "You canceled Medicaid." Gore will do the same to Bush -- except this time he will say, "You are a drunk. You are a cokehead. You were AWOL for a year while I was serving in Vietnam. If your name was not Bush, you’d be in prison today, or still working for your Daddy. You abused your wife and family as a drunk until you were over 40 years old. You have an illegitimate child in Mexico. You paid for more than one abortion and now claim to be anti-abortion. You are a hypocritical joke!"

Cocky played footage of the loquacious Keyes losing debates to the pre-subliminable Bush. Bush said he "like" to read mysteries and he has a "record of leading." Bush said that over and over again.

Keyes said that we are prosperous -- and this is working against the GOP. Americans need a reason to dump Gore. Bush, said Keyes, has to prove that Gore is immoral, degrading and humiliating. What a swindle -- what a joke.

From: Seemhead
Re: Sosa et al

Sorry to nitpick, but "seemhead" means basball fan.

You mentioned Bush trading Sosa for Banks.

It was Sammy Sosa and Wilson Alveraz, a young pitcher who had some good years in the majors, for Harold Baines and Fred "hands of stone" Manrique. There may have been another player, but that was the gist of  it.

Basically, the dumb GM of the time, Tom Grieve, did the deal, but Bush Baby said he signed off on it.

Cocky said Bush has to prove he is likable. Bush said his failing was that he traded Sammy Sosa for Harold Banks.

Keyes, who is so uptight about everyone on television being a racist, is so serious that he lost the audience today. He did not even smile at the Bush quip.

Next up was brother and co-moron of House "Mangler" Asa-Boy Hutchinson, Senator Tim Hutchinson. The Hutchinson brothers are attempting to create a kind of Trailer-Park Dynasty. Eleanor Smeal, who we thought was dead, was also on to defend the abortion pill.

Hutch said that the "majority" of Americans were against abortion and abortion pills -- which was his first BIG lie. He then went into the tired old nonsense about what kind of society we have. He fretted about the ten thousand women that might have some bleeding (under 1%) but he seemed unconcerned about women having surgical abortions which are much more dangerous -- and back-alley abortions, which is what the GOP wants to give America. Hmmm... perhaps Senator Tim-Boy gets PAC money from those back-alley abortionists. The not-so-distinguished senator has issued a press release that LIED, saying that the FDA took only six months to approve the pill. The truth is that the FDA took more than eight years to approve the pill.

Tim Boy said that he thinks the manufacturing of the pill will occur in China! Oh no -- the Yellow Peril Abortion Pill! About the only thing Tim-Boy didn't do was blame Wen Ho Lee for its approval. But here's the truth: the company providing RU-486 in the U.S. cannot tell the government where the factory is because people like Tim and Asa Hutchinson would go to the plant, burn it down, and shoot to kill any poor fool who happens to work there in the same way they back the murderers of doctors who have performed or are performing pregnancy termination procedures that women are demanding -- or need to preserve their own lives.

Hutchinson proved he is a real intellect -- not!! -- when he concluded that this is why these elections are SO important. He is a delusional man.

Wesley Clark, a former General, appeared to be interviewed by George Will about Slobodan Milosevic.

Will wanted to know whether the army will swing over with the crowd and not fire on them. Clark thinks that if the demonstrations against Slobo are weak the army will fire -- if they are strong, the army will join the people and not fire on them, and perhaps fire on Slobo and his fat ugly wife.

We think the army will fire on itself.

The man who did win the election in Serbia wants the U.S. out of Bosnia. So what have we gained? Nothing, but saving the Croatians. And that was good.

Now the Roundtable of Idiots begins:

George Staphylococcus, the Judas Maximus of the Clinton Administration, said he visited five battleground states and found that prescription drugs is the biggest issue. The only candidate that is inspiring, he said, is Nader. Hmmm.... maybe Staph is Nader’s lover! Debates, he said, will decide this race.

Cocky said Gore is tough in debates -- really tough. He has to find a way to be tough but not mean. This is only a "tone problem." Bush has to convince people that he is SMART enough to be president.

Will said Gore is a demagogue. He must not let that happen. Staph said "they" know that and will not let it happen and there will be fewer sparks than we might think.

We say George is wrong.

Staph also claimed that the Bush people say -- if it is a tie -- we win.

Cocky said Gore wins on every issue -- but two-thirds want change and that is why Bush is even close.

Will claimed the country is rich beyond dreams of avarice and it’s tied -- this is very good news for the Bush campaign. Bush must come across as reasonable and resonating.

Staph said that Bush cannot make even one mistake (really? the press has given Bush pass after pass on his conspicuous inability to think or speak clearly).

Cocky said Bush is successful in muddying the issues (we wonder if he even gets the issues, other than in a spoon-fed way). She brought up the "surge" in incumbent Michigan Senator Spencer Abraham's numbers -- but we will tell you now that it will not last, because we are going after Abraham two weeks out in such a big way that he won’t know what hit him. We are doing this for a "friend" of Larry Purpuro -- a plant within the RNC headquarters who hates Abraham’s guts.

Staph said Lieberman has to get out of the Senate race, because the GOP governor will nominate a Republican to take Lieberman’s seat. And we agree -- Lieberman MUST and WILL get out, because Coverdell’s seat is not going to a Democrat, and a Democrat could win easily in Connecticut -- the right Democrat.

Then comes a discussion of Palestinian and Israeli relations. The latest event was the right-wing President of Israel, Ariel Sharon, making a visit to the Blue Mosque, which sits atop the Temple wall. This angered the Palestinians.

Cocky, little Catholic liar that she is, criticizes the Israeli president simply because he visited part of his country. Oh, please. To hell with her and her mother, the Ambassadorette to the Vatican that supports the Palestinians against the Jews on these matters.

The panel then launches a boring discussion of the Olympics and the use of drugs. What a waste of time -- the Olympics is a scam perpetrated on the people of the world by the corrupt controllers of this quadrennial "event." Everyone knows it, and yet the perpetuate in making the Olympics THE MONEYMAKER that it is. That is what athletic competition has become -- a business, not fun, not recreation -- and that, my friend, is a REAL indication of the decline of morality around the world. That decline has nothing to do with normal human sexual transgressions that even Jesus himself forgave quite easily. It has to do with worshipping the false idols of Wall Street, the City and the German Stock Exchange, rather than the feeding, clothing and provision of medical care to the hopeless poor of this world.
