Florida's GOP Secretary of State
Plans to Kill Recounts on Tuesday

Monday, Nov. 13, 2000 -- SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA (AmpolNS) -- As first
reported last night on ABC, Florida's (REPUBLICAN) Secretary of
State, Katherine Harris, says she will go ahead and certify the
current official count showing Bush up by 327 votes on TUESDAY
(this is the same person who ruled two days ago that the Palm Beach 
ballot was, in fact, legal, despite abundant evidence to the
contrary).

She knows perfectly well that the county-ordered hand recounts in
Palm Beach and Volusia Counties will not be finished by then.  She
is doing this solely to preserve Bush's lead.

Time to give her a piece of your mind!
