Free Republic E-Mail Bomb Threat BOMBS!

Dec. 29, 2000, 8:05 PM EST -- WASHINGTON (AmpolNS) -- It looks as if "Freak" Republic's nefarious plot to "mail bomb" APJ has itself bombed.

As of 8:05 PM EST (that's 6:05 PM Militia Country Time) a total of FOUR e-mail messages were received by APJ since 8-- three of the "You liberals make me SICK" variety, and some spam for "63 million e-mail addresses -- ONLY $49!"

Did they deprive legitimate e-mailers of their freedom of speech? Did our server melt down like so much progressive silicon and copper? MY GOD -- WHAT WILL WE TELL THE CHILDREN???

We don't know what we'll tell them, but we'd advise "RandallFlagg," the guy at Freak Republic who originally proposed the attack on our mail server, to buy that addresses disc -- then he could do some REAL "mail bombing!"

Meanwhile, there's one lesson to be learned from this: never believe a self-proclaimed "Freeper."

But you know that already. 'Nuff said...
