Feb. 27, 2002 12:05 PM EST -- NEW YORK (APJP) -- Law enforcement sources have confirmed to American Politics Journal that Morgan Pillsbury has obtained a temporary order of protection from the New York City Criminal Court affording her protection from conservative commentator and editorialist John Fund.
The order, dated February 23rd, was issued following the arrest of John Fund on a misdemeanor assault charge stemming from an alleged incident on February 19th involving Fund and Pillsbury, his former girlfriend. The order includes a handwritten stipulation specifying "NO CONTACT WHATSOEVER, NO THIRD PARTY CONTACT".
The couple's turbulent relationship was detailed last September in an article by investigative journalist John Connolly published on the WeaselSearch web site (http://www.weaselsearch.com/jfund4654544318.htm), and has also been the subject of reports by the Washington Post's Lloyd Grove (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A58111-2002Jan16.html), the New York Post's Page Six (http://www1.excite.com/home/entertainment/celeb/page_six_article/0,13907,01_17_2002_5,00.html), and American Politics Journal (http://www.americanpolitics.com/20020116Editors.html).
