| Rumsfeld: you wanted blood? You got it! March 23, 2003 -- WASHINGTON (apj.us) -- The photos which follow this page, captured from the Al-Jazeera satellite television feed, tell the short story of Donald Rumsfeld's shruggish attitude toward civilian deaths caused by American "precision" bombing. As Rumsfeld himself might admit, "There's not such thing." All of you lusting for blood: this is for you. Pray for these children and other innocents, pray for our military and the rest who are fighting rather than negotiating under international law. WE WANT TO GIVE YOU THE STRONGEST POSSIBLE WARNING: to say that what follows is NOT for the squeamish is an understatement. The photographs depict horrific and sickening images of violent death and suffering. The first group of photographs constitute what were claimed on Arabic-language television to be Iraqi civilian casualties. They are unsuitable for children under any circumstances. Click below... but protect even your teenage kids from seeing these -- or, better yet, show them after explaining why this is all "necessary"... if you can. Further outrages can be linked below -- photographs of captured American soldiers, and a few that appear to have been killed execution-style, judging from the head wounds. These were also broadcast on Al Jazeera, with the permission of Iraqi authorities -- a gambit that has backfired and shows the Iraqi state to be in clear violation of international law, and provides explicit proof that Saddam Hussein and his gangster regime have no regard for basic human rights, decency and law. These disturbing photographs should not be viewed without considering their impact, and are certainly unsuitable for young children under any circumstances. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
