| Political Ergonomics Okay I'll bite. What is political ergonomics? Political Ergonomics is the applied science of political and policy design for the political workplace, intended to maximize productivity by reducing analytical fatigue and technology discomfort. Also called "political technology," "political engineering" and "policy factors engineering." Until now, politicians and political organizations have relied on teams of political staffers to intake, analyze, and amend political and policy ideas. Political and policy offices have also relied on staff to initiate ideas and to implement them via legislative proposals (or through lobbying efforts in the case of corporate policy groups). And the surprising fact is that most policy leaders go about it the wrong way: they react rather than proact. They firefight rather than prevent political arson! Political ergonomic training is the key toward moving your staff or your office of public affairs from a barely effective organization to a highly impactive machine. The designer of the political ergonomic system is internationally-known policy analyst Jeff Koopersmith. He has spent his adult life advising politicians and corporations on methods by which they will increase their productivity and finish with winning results, utilizing the latest election and policy analysis systems and technology. American Politics Journal Publications has adopted this system in order to aid elected officials, committee staff directors and corporate public affairs chiefs to better serve their various constituencies, both in-house and out. Political ergonomics recognizes that hiring staff to do menial tasks is a waste of assets and taxpayer funds. It further urges that all political staff be of the highest capability possible. "Fewer staff, more impact" is one prime rule of political ergonomics.
