Jeff Koopersmith with a heads-up for Independent and Republican voters. I recall my plans to spend time in the Asia, the Middle East, and Africa when I retired. Retirement came earlier than I planned but any plan to begin my travels in Iraq had gone into the waste basket after September 11th and surely after the ensuing attack and destruction of Saddam Hussein – and, I might mention – Iraq itself. Years went by spent in the lower Alps and one year I thought perhaps I might start in Afghanistan, then Pakistan, later Turkey, then Iran to visit Petra; finally it was Jordan – but Jordan was not to be, at least for me. Jordan has become the campground for multitudes of Syrian refugees as their own government spends each day terror bombing its people rather than giving up dictatorial power. I did make it to Tunisia and spent a week at the beach there, blinder than any bat, wondering why it was so quiet at the resort city at which I was staying. Little did I know that Tunisians would erupt and overthrow their government as well? Now six or seven years have passed and I think back to the severe warnings by most academics that our “concerted” attack on Iraq would almost definitely open the ever-expanding surrounding region to similar and severe turmoil. I think back to Dick Cheney who I have more than once compared to a 20th -21st Dual Century Satan, and the “fun to have a beer with” George W. Bush who both ignored what was hundreds of thousands of pages of warnings by the best minds on the topic not to disturb the region with an all-out attack on our once-favorite ally Saddam. I wonder if one of those pages was a note from W’s father who wisely pulled back in the 1990s when he too went after Iraq for its invasion of Kuwait where American interests lie and where some of the most disturbing leadership remains. If you believe that the United States and its tricked-out United Nations “coalition” was striking back for the murder of thousands of innocents at New York’s World Trade Center you are partly naïve at best, but most likely blind or still in third grade. The regional disaster caused by former Vice President Dick Cheney and his band of merry neocons is not comprehensible – not yet. I pray gently every day that we never see what might commence sooner than later in the ever-spreading acreage that the Bush White House began to label as the “Arab Spring” when Tunisian’s fought their own civil war followed by Egypt when in fact this domino game of sick and falling regimes might better be described as the “Islamic Winter” and the Israeli Nightmare. Today we see Mr. Assad of Syria prepared to kill Syrian children all day long without respite until his revolutionaries cease all “their fuss” as a Syrian government loyalist once said to me several months ago. Let me continue by writing that Dick Cheney is not an idiot, not by far, and he did realize what might happen once he launched wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Of course he knew, and so did many others in the Administration and surrounds. After all, the neocon cabal had planned what we see now a decade or more before it started. Americans were told that we entered Afghanistan to hunt down Osama Bin Laden, and many of the loonier aren’t convinced that Bin Laden master-minded 911 at all. I am not one of them – and in fact it makes little difference because the die was cast long before 9.11.2001. Whichever the stunning reality, we would be witnessing what we are today no matter which Arab nation sprung the highjack of those American airliners so long and seemingly so short time ago. Let us look at the current ongoing bloodbath: Afghanistan, Iraq, Tunisia, Egypt, Pakistan, Syria, Libya and much trouble and blood-letting in Israel, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and schisms set to explode in the United Arab Emirates and almost any nation run by dictators (benevolent or evil) that also contain what we consider radical Islamic elements. Make no mistake about all of this, all at almost the same stroke of historic timeline. It is due to our ridiculous invasion of Iraq and our nearly futile manhunts in Afghanistan for evil-doers not from Afghanistan. So far we have lost as many as 10,000 soldiers and who will count for us how many hired guns and CIA operatives in this turmoil also died or are crippled for life? Mr. Cheney would have you believe that he, not we, had no choice and that sooner than later millions of Arabs and Asian Muslims would have invaded the United States firing nuclear missiles and non-existent poison gas from Iran and Egypt once they finished with Israel. Mr. Bush, having another beer, would nod in agreement. So, what’s the point of this shortened history lesson? --To let you know that the world has sunk into an almost universal hopelessness because the major economies have had to finance this witch-hunt in order “protect our oil” – which may be true today only because of what we and our allies have already destroyed and angered. This was not true before we went after Iraq inasmuch as the planes that hit the World Trade Center that tragic day were manned… mostly by Saudis. If Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney wanted to get Saddam Hussein, they had better and less expensive methods at hand. The difference between Iraq and Saudi Arabia is simple. American energy interests are huge in Saudi Arabia – and not in Iraq since Saddam (with our cooperation) gassed his own people during his combat with Iran. In short, because of a dozen different political and social reasons Democrats have been forced to follow Republicans or lose their heads to mourning American families whose fathers and mothers were killed in New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania on 911. While Cheney didn’t plan the 911 chaos it couldn’t have been planned any better and it seems that Bin Laden was smarter than everyone thinks because even though he is dead and gone – his legacy of pandemonium is just as he hoped – total chaos in the area of our Earth that the Bible tells us will be the seat of Armageddon –You betcha! So when you hear the Tea Party lunacy and the two old-school Myna Birds Romney and Ryan tell you that we are in a tough situation because of President Obama – laugh or turn your backs and walk. Life in the America, and most of the rest of the world was fairly until George W Bush was sworn in as President of the United States. Within only months later Cheney’s Wars began and instigated the bankruptcy of the freer world as Wall Street took its clues and fattened up its kitty with newly chopped regulations before all economic hell broke loose. Yes, Barack Obama is in the imaginary position that Republicans have ginned up – which the “Buck” stops at his desk. Yet truth is far more important today. If you want to see the end of all the tragedy going on around the world, don’t count on the GOP and the Tea Party which controls it. Mr. Obama is simply cleaning up the Bush-Cheney mess and he is doing a remarkably terrific job at is as most non-Fox News viewers would agree. We hear that Bush merely left a deficit of ONLY $11 Trillion in early 2009, but many trust it was far more than that. Mr. Obama, but really the Republican-controlled House, has allowed Obama to stop the dam break – but not without another $5 trillion spent to fund the Cheney Wars and save the innocent Americans who have lost almost everything as a result. They were a complicit in the entire American “overdraft”: Don’t be fools. This is truth I am writing. Barack Obama is not a hawk, and it is Dick Cheney and George W. Bush who were and are currently responsible for the 130 women and children murdered in Syria in just the past few days for a total estimated at over 10 thousand dead. Dick Cheney and George W. Bush and a host of Republican bigwigs along with some Democrats mind you – are responsible for snuffing the regulations that kept Wall Street greed at bay since the Big Depression. Make no mistake about that either. Barack Obama has no choice but to teeter between helping the poorest among us and at the same time trying with all his strength to end the carnage started long before he had the power of the Oval Office. That’s more than just a “tough position” as Mr. Romney admits was the case following the Bush regime. It’s an almost impossible position, even viewed by that hare-brain sudden-intellect, Mr. Chuck Norris. There is absolutely no question! Either vote to re-elect Barack Obama or spend the rest of your and several generation’s lives serving the evil elite who will be sure to expunge the pro-fairness elites who mock them. If Romney and Ryan are elected even the wealthy will make economic war on each other with Vladimir Putin-style and take us all down with them. |
