![]() | ![]() ![]() With some sadness, but in the grand tradition of yellow journalism muckraking and, more seriously, in order to preserve this union as a fair multi-partisan democracy, the American Politics Journal editorial board has concluded that the only method with which to battle political corruption may be to publish accounts thereof and therefore have decided to compensate with money, sources of truthful information on political chicanery; crimes committed by politicians; adulterous love affairs -- ongoing or past, straight or gay -- and all other misdemeanors or malfeasance committed by elected officials or political staff, appointed officials and/or members of the judiciary. The information must be regarding officials of the federal government in order to be of general national interest, and in order to handle the volume of information effectively. The monetary value of this information will be determined by the American Politics Journal and the parties communicating these facts, and considered on a case by case basis. In most cases, any information must be corroborated by a second party and the subject of such information will be afforded an opportunity to respond to the charges. However, information will be accepted from a single source if American Politics Journal can independently verify the veracity of same. Information provided 'for attribution' may be valuable on its face and will also not require corroboration. If you have such information, please contact the editors at DRATT MUDGE by clicking here We would appreciate your comments on this proposal before, and if it goes into service March 1st 1998. | |
